Pain Limits Your Training

You're tired of scaling back your runs, cutting workouts short, or sitting out entirely because nagging injuries won't heal on their own.

Precision Relief That Actually Works

Dry needling targets trigger points deep within your muscles—areas that foam rolling, stretching, and massage can't effectively reach. By inserting ultra-fine needles into these tight, knotted regions, we stimulate your body's natural healing response, releasing tension and restoring proper muscle function.

At Core Values Physical Therapy, our Lake Nona team uses dry needling as part of a comprehensive treatment approach. You're not just getting symptom relief—you're addressing the underlying dysfunction that keeps bringing your pain back.

✓ Faster recovery from running injuries, sports strains, and chronic tightness
✓ Immediate improvement in mobility and range of motion
✓ Long-lasting results when combined with targeted strengthening

"I had never considered PT before given my younger age, but I wish I had. I was in terrible pain and had tried exercises I found online. I couldn't sleep and lost most of the exercise I could do like I had previously. The dry needling and increased load of exercises were exactly what I needed and I am now on a good track to recovery. Dr. Austin Jackson and Dr. Megan Ford worked together to meet my schedule so I was able to keep on track and improve each session. Simply being able to get up and stand without pain has given me my sanity and life back."

What Lake Nona Patients Are Saying

"I came in barely functional, and Megan and the team completely turned things around for me. I'm back to being active again, and I had such good results that I recommended to both of my kids to have success here. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and truly cares. You have to try the dry needling! Highly recommend!"

Jonathan Bodnar

"I've been recently diagnosed with mild Achilles tendinitis and have been working with Dr. Austin at the Core Values office in Orlando. The dry needling combined with some training mechanics work has been fantastic and I was able to notice results right away during a local 5K. I've also had the pleasure of working with both Dr. Megan and Dr. Rebecca as fill ins, and the consistency in care was beyond excellent. I'm on my way to returning to pain free running and it would be possible without Core Values!"

Heather Randall

"Had great experience with Core Values Physical Therapy in the city of Orlando. Dr. Austin was awesome. I went in for knee pain and help with preventing pain for running. Some interventions that helped included Dry needling and squat exercises. I remember going into one session limping and leaving walking normally. Dr. Austin is very knowledgeable and he provided excellent treatment solutions. Also the office atmosphere was pleasant and his coworkers treated me with kindness."

Frequently Asked Questions

Does dry needling hurt?

Most patients describe dry needling as a brief pinch or pressure sensation. You may feel a small muscle twitch when we hit the trigger point, which is a sign the treatment is working. Any discomfort is short-lived, and many patients report immediate relief after their session.

Do I need a referral to get dry needling?

No! Florida is a direct access state, which means you don't need a doctor's referral to see a physical therapist. You can book directly with us and start your treatment right away.

How long will my dry needling sessions last?

All sessions at Core Values are one-on-one for 55 minutes. When was the last time you had a full hour of undivided attention from a medical provider? This extended time allows us to combine dry needling with manual therapy, targeted exercises, and education for comprehensive care.

Will insurance cover my dry needling treatment?

We're an out-of-network provider, which allows us to spend more time with you and deliver higher-quality care without insurance restrictions. Most plans offer out-of-network benefits, and we provide a detailed superbill you can submit for reimbursement. We also accept FSA/HSA. Call us at (407) 476-6613 to discuss your coverage.
