The Frustration Is Real

You've tried rest, ice, heat, foam rolling, and countless YouTube stretches. Nothing provides more than temporary relief, and you're running out of options.

Get to the Source of Your Pain

Traditional treatment approaches often address surface-level symptoms without tackling the underlying muscle dysfunction. Dry needling changes that equation. By using thin filament needles to reach trigger points buried deep in muscle tissue, we create a localized twitch response that releases tension, improves blood flow, and jumpstarts your body's repair mechanisms.

At our Winter Garden clinic, we integrate dry needling into comprehensive treatment plans designed around your specific goals. Led by Dr. Daniel Komforti, our Winter Garden team combines advanced manual therapy techniques with movement assessment to ensure you're not just feeling better temporarily—you're building resilience that lasts.

✓ Eliminate chronic muscle tightness that limits your range of motion
✓ Accelerate recovery between training sessions and competitions
✓ Address compensation patterns before they create new injuries

"I had never considered PT before given my younger age, but I wish I had. I was in terrible pain and had tried exercises I found online. I couldn't sleep and lost most of the exercise I could do like I had previously. The dry needling and increased load of exercises were exactly what I needed and I am now on a good track to recovery. Dr. Austin Jackson and Dr. Megan Ford worked together to meet my schedule so I was able to keep on track and improve each session. Simply being able to get up and stand without pain has given me my sanity and life back."

What Lake Nona Patients Are Saying

"I came in barely functional, and Megan and the team completely turned things around for me. I'm back to being active again, and I had such good results that I recommended to both of my kids to have success here. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and truly cares. You have to try the dry needling! Highly recommend!"

Jonathan Bodnar

"I've been recently diagnosed with mild Achilles tendinitis and have been working with Dr. Austin at the Core Values office in Orlando. The dry needling combined with some training mechanics work has been fantastic and I was able to notice results right away during a local 5K. I've also had the pleasure of working with both Dr. Megan and Dr. Rebecca as fill ins, and the consistency in care was beyond excellent. I'm on my way to returning to pain free running and it would be possible without Core Values!"

Heather Randall

"Had great experience with Core Values Physical Therapy in the city of Orlando. Dr. Austin was awesome. I went in for knee pain and help with preventing pain for running. Some interventions that helped included Dry needling and squat exercises. I remember going into one session limping and leaving walking normally. Dr. Austin is very knowledgeable and he provided excellent treatment solutions. Also the office atmosphere was pleasant and his coworkers treated me with kindness."

Frequently Asked Questions

Is dry needling painful?

The sensation varies by individual and location, but most describe it as a quick pinch followed by a dull ache as the muscle releases. Some trigger points produce a brief twitch response that feels unusual but not painful. Many patients are surprised by how tolerable the treatment is, especially given the significant relief that follows.

Can I receive dry needling without seeing a doctor first?

Yes—Florida law allows direct access to physical therapy without a physician referral. You can schedule directly with our clinic and begin treatment immediately. If we determine that additional medical evaluation would be beneficial, we'll coordinate that for you.

What should I expect during a typical session?

Every appointment at Core Values is a full 55 minutes with your physical therapist—no rotating between providers or being handed off to assistants. Your session includes assessment, dry needling treatment, manual therapy techniques, corrective exercises, and education about managing your condition between visits.

How does billing work if you're out of network?

We provide detailed superbills after each visit that you submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement according to your out-of-network benefits. This model allows us to spend adequate time with each patient without insurance companies dictating your care plan. FSA and HSA cards are accepted for payment.
