Elbow Pain Physical Therapy in Orlando, FL

The Grip You Used to Have

Lifters and CrossFit athletes come to us when elbow pain starts limiting grip, pressing, or pulling. We find what's actually driving your elbow pain and build a plan around it, one-on-one, for a full 55 minutes every session.

You Modified Your Grip and Your Lifts. The Pain Followed You Anyway.

Grip Fails Before Anything Else

When your grip gives out first, the tendon overload is usually already ahead of the pain you feel.

You Changed Your Grip Width

Adjusting bar position or grip width can mask elbow pain temporarily, but it doesn't address the overload.

Rest Between Sessions Isn't Enough

A few extra rest days can quiet the pain short-term without resolving the tendon capacity issue underneath.

What Makes Us Different

Root-Cause Care for Elbow Pain in Athletes Who Lift

Elbow pain in lifters and CrossFit athletes is rarely just about the elbow. Grip demands, forearm tendon capacity, bar path, and training volume all factor into how your elbow feels under load. We assess how these systems work together at Core Values PT, then build a plan around what's actually driving your symptoms.

Grip and Load Assessment

We assess your grip strength, forearm tendon capacity, and how your training volume is loading the elbow.

Hands-On Care and Dry Needling

Manual therapy and dry needling ease tendon irritation so you can keep training while the plan builds capacity.

A Plan Built Around Your Training

Your plan adjusts around the lifts, sessions, or grip demands that are actually driving your symptoms.

I had a great experience with Dr Austin. I came in with multiple issues and I think he did a great job balancing between my back, knee and elbow. Each session felt tailored and it was amazing getting to see my progress in our last session. He also helped me not to fear being consistent in my weight training and I am forever grateful! I would definitely recommend Dr Austin and the entire core values team as they always make you feel welcomed!

Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers about elbow pain physical therapy for lifters at Core Values PT.

Do I need a referral to start?

No. Florida is a direct access state, so you can come directly to us without a physician referral. Book a free discovery call to talk through your elbow pain and confirm we're the right fit before your evaluation.

Can I keep lifting while I go through PT?

In most cases, yes. We build a modified training plan into your care from the start, adjusting grip work and load so you can keep training while we address what's actually driving your elbow pain.

What's actually causing my elbow pain?

Elbow pain in lifters is usually driven by a combination of grip demands, forearm tendon capacity, and training volume, not a problem with the joint alone. We assess these factors to find your specific cause, then build a plan around it.

Do you accept insurance?

We're a cash-based clinic and don't bill insurance directly. This gives you a full 55 minutes one-on-one with your physical therapist every session. We accept cash, HSA, and FSA, and provide superbills you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

How long does elbow pain PT typically take?

It depends on how long the pain has been present and how much tendon capacity needs to be rebuilt. Most patients see meaningful improvement within the first few weeks once the loading pattern driving the pain is addressed. At your evaluation, we'll give you a realistic timeline based on what we find.
